This is a beautifully painted Chinese Porcelain Tile from the Republic period. It features two cranes standing on a pine tree trunk searching for food. A lovely Peony grows up from the ground below them. The entire scene is filled in and covered in gilt gold paint in an almost dry-brush technique.
